The Global Youth Leadership (GLY) Program is a two-quarter workshop designed to develop middle school students into emerging global leaders. Participants use a structured problem-solving protocol, inspired by military strategic planning, to identify and address real issues within their communities.
Students will:
Explore the concept of global citizenship
Engage with global challenges and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Collaborate with international youth to understand diverse perspectives and approaches
Delivered in-person or virtually
Provide leadership training for middle school students
Empower youth with tools for local and global problem-solving
Inspire confidence, civic engagement, and action-oriented leadership

Introduction to local and global challenges
Interactive sessions on global citizenship and sustainability
Peer dialogue with youth from other countries

Hands-on leadership development
Communication, teamwork, and research skills
Emphasis on anti-bullying and inclusive behavior

Students identify a community issue
